Offers effective control over common weeds such as daisy, plantain, dandelion and clover. Contains ferrous sulphate to kill moss quickly and fertilise the grass. Mini-granule formulation (1.0-2.5mm). Can be used all year round. Full Description Nutrigrow Feed and Weed is a compound fertiliser with iron for moss and weed control in lawns, sports turf and grass areas. Ideal for use in lawns, Four in One; it will make lawns greener, kill a range of weeds, remove moss and fertilise the grass for a thicker and healthier looking lawn. Nutrigrow Four in One Fertiliser, Feed, Weed and Moss Killer can be used from spring to autumn when grass, moss and weeds are actively growing and the soil is moist. One bag will treat up to 625m² and can be applied at 32g per m². The key to reducing moss is to have effective all-year round management. This product is also available in a 5kg tub which covers up to 160m². Our Recommendation Always read the product label before use. When applying, ensure you get even coverage. We recommend a Fertiliser Spreader. Improve the pH of your soil by applying Granulated Lime. Maximum two treatments per year with at least 40 days between applications. Only apply to established turf. 6-9-6 Nutrigrow Pre-Seeder Fertiliser 20kg Pre Seeder 6-9-6 is a quality NPK fertiliser which is ideal for use on areas before or after seeding. Pre Seeder 6-9-6 contains a low, balanced amount of nutrients which will help avoid any scorch to young & tender grass as it slowly releases over a 6-week period. The combination of the 3 macronutrients (nitrogen, phosphate and potassium) help plants grow healthily and produce a higher crop yield. Each of the macronutrients have their own benefits; nitrogen aids with photosynthesis, phosphate helps plants convert other nutrients into usable building blocks with which to grow and potassium regulates CO2 uptake during photosynthesis. Understanding Fertiliser Analysis: Under the metric system the unit of measurement is a kg. Recommendations are given in kg/ha. A fertiliser with the analysis 6:9:6 contains: 6% nitrogen, 9% phosphate, 6% potassium. In a 20kg bag: 6% of the 20kg is nitrogen i.e. 1.5kg N, 9% of the 20kg is phosphate i.e. 2.25kg P, 6% of the 20kg is potassium i.e. 1.5kg K. Previous products containing glufosinate-ammonium used to control this difficult weed are no longer permitted for sale in the U.K making Diamond the go to product following its launch in spring 2019. Ferro-Gem Liquid Iron Full Description Ferro gem® is a 6% straight iron which is used to green and toughen up grass. This product can be used all year round, although it is particularly useful during the colder months as it will help strengthen the plant against frost and disease. The active ingredient, iron, is absorbed by the leaf giving rapid results. This product is ideal for treating large areas such as horse paddocks & amenity areas. Whilst ferrous sulphate is not harmful or hazardous, we would recommend keeping livestock off the treated area for 24-48 hours as a precaution. Apply Ferro gem® by knapsack or boom sprayer to ensure there is good coverage of the grass. Use 600-800L of water per hectare to help improve coverage of thicker swards of grass. If you are using Ferro gem® on thick infestations on grass, consider using Ruby which will help improve penetration and results by up to 20%. Full Description Gallup Biograde Weed Killer is the new formulation from the popular brand, Gallup. It is a foliar applied total herbicide for the control of annual and perennial grass and broad-leaved weeds. It can be used in many crops, for the destruction of grassland, in orchards, green cover on land not being used for production, forestry and non-crop areas. This is a quality glyphosate formulation which will control all general weeds and grasses. Although, some larger or tougher weeds may need the application rate increasing to 6L/ha or 600ml per 10L of water. Leaf symptoms (usually a reddening and then yellowing of the foliage) are first seen on grass weeds; the same symptoms appear slightly later on broad-leaved weeds. If you are treating horsetail we recommend using Diamond. Horses and livestock should be excluded from treated areas until all poisonous weeds (such as ragwort) have died and there is no visible evidence of the dead weed. Full Description Nutrigrow Sulphur is a granular product containing 90% elemental sulphur and 10% bentonite clay. It can be used at low rates simply to deliver sulphur to the crop or at higher rates to correct the soil pH. Sulphur breaks down and washes into the soil rapidly but requires warm soils to become useable to the plant. This is a granular product which is suitable for hand or machine spreading; it can be incorporated into the soil or left to dissolve on the surface. This product is available in a 25kg or 600kg pack size. At the rates that sulphur is applied for nutritional purposes, the effect on soil pH would be slight; however, in certain circumstances, it is beneficial to lower the pH of soil, for example when establishing heather (or other acid loving plants) and when attempting to reduce common scab in potatoes. The female chafer beetle will burrow down into the ground and lays eggs near plants in summer; the larvae hatch out a few weeks later. There are more than 350 species of cranefly in the UK, but the ones most likely to be in your garden belong to a group called Tipula, or ‘true craneflies’. However, sometimes these grubs don’t grow large enough to cause significant damage until the following spring. This is when serious issues can begin. Thoroughly wet all areas to be cleaned with this product. Nvirol Algae & Lichen Killer acts upon contact, typically eliminating mold and other growths within 2-4 days.
